Week 11 of 2012 Season

Expected Harvest:

New this week…
Green beans are back!

Plus more of…

  • beets
  • cabbage – green and red
  • carrots – rainbow & orange
  • cucumbers – slicing and pickling (limited amount)
  • eggplant – a variety of Asian and Italian varieties
  • fresh softneck garlic – variety: chet’s italian red
  • kohlrabi
  • lettuce mix
  • okra
  • onions – purplette and white
  • peppers – sweet bell (purple, orange, red, and yellow plus a little green)
  • potatoes: dark red norland (red-skinned, white interior), red gold (red skin, yellow flesh) or augusta (yellow skin and interior)
  • scallions
  • summer squash, patty pan squash & zucchini (green or golden)
  • sweet corn – a bi-color variety
  • swiss chard
  • tomatillos
  • tomatoes – cherry (a mix of red, orange, yellow, purple, and maybe even some green)
  • tomatoes – red & heirloom varieties
  • turnips – hakurei (the sweet, white variety)
  • watermelon – quetzali (red flesh) and early moonbeam (yellow flesh)

Bonus Herbs & Other things:

  • basil (we are going to bring a good amount, so feel free to take enough to make yourself a batch of pesto)
  • cilantro
  • thyme
  • jalapeño, poblano, and anaheim peppers

Future harvests…
We have edamame growing and it looks good, but the beans are still a bit small.  We are hoping to have some ready for you all in a few weeks.
